The battle of Worldly influence and the battle of the flesh

Last nights MTV awards lived up to worldly standards of fleshly motivations and temptations. Here are the first few lines from USA Today this morning.

"Madonna, Spears, Aguilera shock at MTV Awards
NEW YORK — It was only fitting that MTV's Video Music Awards should celebrate its 20th anniversary with a kiss — and that the kiss should be a suggestive smooch shared by Madonna and Britney Spears, as Christina Aguilera stood by leering.
The performance offered a poignant reminder of MTV's role in defining a youth culture that has become something of a tease — winking at convention without offering any fresh alternatives...

...As usual, the show featured a number of cleavage-exposing outfits (notorious nice girls Beyoncé and Jessica Simpson were representing front and center), winners thanking God, and mismatched presenters.
"

I love it when they Thank God for thier worldly success. I heard a great message this morning. It was concerning our youth and leading them astray. Mat 18:6 But whoso shall offend one of these little ones which believe in me, it were better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and [that] he were drowned in the depth of the sea.

Let us be examples to our youth, and be witnesses to our salvation in all of our actions.

Have a Great Day in the Lord,

Rob

Greg Laurie Daily message: The Transfiguration

The Transfiguration

Pastor Greg Laurie
Thursday, August 28, 2003
Following Christ is easy, right? Pastor Greg Laurie says no, it's a challenging road that demands we "die to ourselves." What does that mean, and why is it required?

Marshall Field's Reponse and then my reply

Dear Robert Estoll:

Thank you for your e-mail.

I am sorry these ads and products offended and disappointed you. I can certainly understand your strong feelings in this matter. For the last year, Marshall Field's has been carrying the popular French Connection United Kingdom brand. It is one of the hottest European brands and it is popular with our guests who favor a modern/contemporary lifestyle. Due to the success of the apparel line, we have added fragrances to our product line. The additionof their fragrance to our assortment was in no way meant to upset our valued guests.

Please be assured we fully appreciate your comments. Your concerns and feedback have been shared with our Senior Management. Again, thank you for your e-mail. Please visit us again at www.fields.com.

Sincerely,

Susan

Just so that I am clear, The Target Corporation is more intrested in profit than a sound moral business ethic? You would rather make a profit off of sexually immoral product lines than to ensure a safe shopping experience for the families of this country? Again I pose the question of how I am to explain to my 4 year daughter why you sell and promote a product with the words FCUK on printed all over the place?

When I submit this to the nationwide publications I want to be sure that I understand exactly what you are stating. This will be for the record.

I am thinking of starting a boycott campaign. We first need to unite and start a church boycott. We then need to spread to the other local churches. This will hopefully start a ripple effect and spread from there.

Let me know what you think. If you would like to join my campaign please e-mail me @ Rob's E-mail

God Bless!

My E-MAIL to Marshall Field's

I am planning to spearhead a nationwide boycott of all Target stores if the FCUK product line is not pulled from your shelves. This sexually explicit material has no place in public. It is offensive and I refuse to support any company who chooses to carry such a vulgar product line. How can you justify carrying such products. Do you wish that our society be made of sexually immoral individuals? Are diseases such as AIDS, Herpes, genital warts, etc something to be flippant about. Is teenage pregnancy something that you want to promote?

I thought that Marshall Field's was supposed to be family establishment. How can I bring my 4 year old daughter in a store that carries a product line with the name FCUK?

I would like immediate response. The last company, who ignored this type of action, is now going out of business. Ever heard of KMART?

The only acceptable response is the date in which these products will be off of your shelves and out of you product line! Any other response will force me to start a nationwide boycott and picketing campaign until the line is dropped.

Be in action to further the Kingdom of God!

Yes, we need to be in action every second, or every minute, or every hour, or every day, of every week, of every month, of every year for the rest of our lives! Can I be any more blunt? Our job, no our mission, or better yet our obligation is to spread the gospel of Jesus Christ, and to allow God to do his work through us. If we are not, then we are failing to fulfil one of most important purposes as christians, bring others the knowledge of salvation through Jesus Christ.

"Therefore go and make dispciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age." Mathew 28:18-20 (NIV)

So join me and doing all that God asks you to do when he asks you to do it.

Here is a great resource that Pastor Bill let me in on, I encourage you to use any FREE resource to spread the message. It is called the "Pocket Testament League". There Motto is: Read, Carry, and Share. With your FREE membership:

FCUK, Shocking? Not to Marshall Field's

Marshall Field's will carry the product line called FCUK. I am sorry to have typed that twice in this post, but I think that you should be as shocked as Stacy and I were when we opened our sunday paper to find the Marshal Field's ad had a full page ad pertaining to this product. We need to voice our concerns. Please, I urge you to write, e-mail, and call Marshall Fields and complain about this ad. Tell them that you will not shop at there stores unless they pull this product, and that we will pull local churches together to boycott Marshall Field's, Target and Mervyn's. Here are some links to what the product is (CAUTION the following is not for anyone under 18):

Post! Post! Post!

I need feedback. I have not posted anything since August 17th, but no one else has either. This is a great tool, but if I am the only one posting, with no feedback, it is not worth our time to keep it up. Please post if you would like to continue this site.

If I do not receive any posts by Friday I am shutting down the Blog.

The Walls are Down!!!

All of the walls at the new facility are down! We spent the last three evenings and the most of today cutting, sawing, and ripping walls apart. But the work has just begun. Let's pray about what God would have us do to help get the new facility up and running.

The more that we do the cheaper the project will be. That means more money that we can save, or put into some of the extras that we all can enjoy. So pray, pray, pray! Ask God what he wants you to do in the coming days, weeks, months and once it is open for service.

Also, the "Making Abortion Unthinkable" just came in the mail. Please e-mail me if you would like to borrow the tapes once I have finished: e-mail Rob

Have a great day in the Lord! See ya'll tomorrow!

Hello:)

This is a really neat site and I plan to use it often once I go away to school.

I have a really great website that everyone should check out: blueletterbible.org It is the Bible in a few different versions--there are devotions, commentaries, searches, and a lot of other neat stuff. Hopefully it can be of help to you as you study God's word. I have been able to use it to do my daily devotions, and I have learned a lot of really neat things, especially with the commentaries and study guides.

Well, it is getting late...I will hopefully come up with something to post tomorrow!!!

Interesting Abortion Fact...

Did you know that Roe, in Roe vs. Wade, is now pro-life? Her name is Norma McCorvey and in 1995 she was baptized and born again. Here is an article on her story: Who is 'Jane Roe'? Anonymous no more, Norma McCorvey no longer supports abortion rights

Disarming the Gov't...

The gov't is at it again. Seperation of church and state has once again been misused. The founding fathers would be furious to know what these hacks are doing to our country. They do not realize that with out God there would be no America. Lets support Chief Justice Moore. From now until the 16th pray daily for his fight. If you are not aware of the situation read this article from Agape's website: Ten Commandments Judge: 'If I Go to Jail, I Go to Jail'
And then visit the support website setup for Justice Moore.

What does a BLOG do?

Well it does nothing. We do the work. A blog is a "weblog" = "weBLOG" = "BLOG". A blog is a message board in which users can create discussions on a subject, such as the Gay Bishop, or Abortion etc. One can also post just simple messages such as the one my father posted, or announcements, praises, answers to prayer requests, testimonies, etc.

What ever you would like to say, but don't wish to send an e-mail or call a thousand people, you can do on a Blog. I will post to it everyday. My posts will very and hopefully start discussion threads. These threads are strings of messages put together to make a discussion. If we need to start a different blogs for subjects that are discussed more, we can.

I have it in the works to purchase the web site www.god-blog.org, but I am still trying to find the best price and a good host. If you have anymore questions e-mail me by clicking the following image:

Abortion, the forgotten debate...

Once again I feel strongly convicted about something. We often discuss and defend our beliefs, but in the case we are not only discussing and defending just our belief but innocent life. I feel an urgent need to pray about this and to educate myself and others on this subject.

Abortion Statistics:
In 1999, 861,789 legal induced abortions were reported to CDC by 48 reporting areas. This total represents a 2.5 percent decrease from the 884,273 legal induced abortions reported by these same reporting areas for 1998.

The abortion ratio for 1999 is the lowest reported since 1975. The ratio was 256 legal induced abortions per 1,000 live births, compared to 264 in 1998.

For 1997 through 1999, the abortion rate was 17 per 1,000 women aged 15 to 44 years.

Most abortions were obtained by white women, unmarried women, and women under 25 years of age. As in previous years, about one-fifth of women who had abortions were 19 years old or younger. Of the women who had an abortion, 41 percent were known to have had no previous live births.

For 1999, 25 areas reported a total of 6,278 medical (nonsurgical) procedures. This figure reflects an increase of 28% from the 4,899 medical abortions reported by 22 reporting areas for 1998. It is not known whether the number of medical abortions reported to CDC for 1999 is representative of all reporting areas.

As in previous years, more than half (58 percent) of reported legal induced abortions were performed during the first 8 weeks of pregnancy; 88 percent were performed during the first 12 weeks of pregnancy.

For 1998 (the most recent data available on maternal deaths), nine maternal deaths related to legal induced abortion were reported. Overall, the number of such deaths was highest before the 1980s.

The Numbers
Year Total
1996 1,365,700
1995 1,363,700
1994 1,431,000
1993 1,500,000
1992 1,528,900
1991 1,556,500
1990 1,608,600
1988 1,590,800
1985 1,588,600
1980 1,553,900

I have ordered a very comprehensive program called "Making Abortion Unthinkable". This program is an audio program. It is secular centered. Do not let this discourage you. We are trying to reach the unsaved, people who could care less what the Bible has to say about abortion. So this Christian program focusses on using secular reasoning to get the Bible principle across. Check out there website if you have more questions:

Homosexuality is now rewarded in the Episcopal church?

By a vote of 62-45, Episcopal bishops made a historic decision Tuesday evening to break with the Bible's teaching on homosexuality and endorse openly homosexual Bishop Gene Robinson of New Hampshire. Many Episcopal leaders, including Robinson, tried to put a positive face on the decision. He told reporters he is "proud to be in a church which works to be a safe place for all of God's children."

Yesterday's vote was delayed a day following allegations of misconduct against Robinson, which included a charge that he had inappropriately touched a man and that he was connected to a website that promotes homosexuality to young people. A few hours before the vote was taken, a church committee had decided he was guilty of neither.

For the entire article goto:

Please join me in prayer that all God fearing, Bible believing Episcopalians will seek a new church home in which this wickedness is not condoned and sin is not rewarded. It blows my mind when people who read the Bible yet still do not see the Truth. Satan has a hold of this church. 62 voted in favor of a gay Bishop?

The lost and wanting...

As I sit here today I look across the office and see so many lost souls yearning for the Truth, yet can not find it in the wilderness of the world. We need to reach these people, I feel such a string pull to complete the work of Christ. "Trust in the the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths."-Proverbs 3:5-6

So today I challenge myself and all of you to seek out the lost, "be bold as lions" and tell them the Truth, expose them to the Word, be peaceful, caring people, so that they will want what you have.

Your borther in Christ,

Rob

THE SACRED SUMMIT

Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin. -Romans 6:6 Calvary is the summit of love. "The law was given by Moses, but grace and truth came by Jesus Christ"-John 1:17. "God commendeth his love towards us, in that, while we were sinners, Christ died for us"-Romans 5:8.The Scripture says that we are sinners. We have broken those Ten Commandments. We are under the sentence of death and deserve judgment. We deserve hell. The cross, where Christ died in our place and where we can find forgiveness, is the only place to find forgiveness and have eternal life.

This is a daily devotional from Billy Graham's "Unto the Hills". This is a great book. I received it as a gift several years ago, but it was not until recently that I began to read and understand it. Praise God!

I just have to add that since coming to New Life I have found new life. The discipleship program is awesome, and has opened so many doors to my newly uplifted faith. I never want to go back. All that I want is to push forward and do his will. Isn't this a great day in the Lord! Praise him everyday for this is a new day with new possibilities, and so many encounters with the lost and unsaved. Plant those seeds, pass out those tracts, and be an example to all!

Your brother in Christ,

Rob
